Jury in A.G. trial expected to retire to consider verdict this morning

The jury in the trial of the Island’s Attorney General is expected to retire to consider its verdicts later this morning (Thursday).

That’s after the judge presiding over the case, Deemster Peter Birkett, concludes his closing address to the seven-strong jury at Douglas Courthouse.

Fifty-two-year-old Stephen Harding of Glen Vine denies a charge of perjury and committing acts against public justice, relating to the winding-up of former Island company Street Heritage in 2010.
