Island joins world tribute to terror attack victims

Flags half mast at government buildings

The Isle of Man has joined nations across the world in remembering those killed in the Paris atrocities.

Flags were lowered to half mast at government buildings in Douglas as a one minute silence was observed for the victims of the terror attacks.

It’s reported a total of 132 people died in the attacks on bars and restaurants, a concert hall and the Stade de France.

A huge manhunt is under way for surviving members and accomplices of the Islamist group responsible.

Chief Minister Allan Bell this morning (Monday) wrote to the French Ambassador in the UK, Her Excellency Sylvie Bermann.
