An inquest has heard from the driver of the bin wagon that was involved in a fatal accident last May.
Thirty-three-year-old Ramsey man Davie Jones crashed into the vehicle while it was parked just after the Cronk-y-Voddy straight.
Andrew Clarke said he parked in a sensible place, on the corner, with good visibility for other vehicles.
He said Mr Jones's speed caused the crash.
The inquest also heard from Director of Highways Richard Pearson.
Mr Pearson said Mr Jones's speed - which the inquest yesterday heard was around 100mph - was excessive for that road, despite it being deristricted.
He said that on a personal level, he thought a national speed limit would reduce accidents, but added ultimately it was a political decision.
Mr Pearson added that his department would review the stretch of road, following the inquest.
Ian Jones, the Managing Director of Jones Services Ltd, the refuse collection company, refused to comment when questioned by coroner John Needham, as he faces criminal charges in connection with the incident.
