Housey Housey - for a real house

£800K house raffled

A property in the Manx countryside is making headlines off-Island after its owner decided to sell it via a raffle.

Anne Lumley has lived in the 4 bedroom house in Little London, which has 10 acres of land, stables and boarding kennels, for 25 years, but now wants to move back to the UK.

However, she believes the property market is stagnant and getting potential buyers to view the property can be difficult - so has opted for the unusual move of raffling the £800,000 property, with tickets costing £20 each.

She's trying to entice buyers by suggesting the winner would have a sizeable property mortgage free and without stamp duty which could either be an excellent family home - or be sold for a substantial return on the £20 investment.

The story has appeared in today's Daily Mail online.
