Homelessness report and government efficiency on Tynwald agenda

Plus questions on horse trams and Liverpool Ferry Terminal

Tynwald members will hear of more than thirty recommendations put forward on the first report on housing and homelessness.

June's sitting gets underway at 10am today (18 June).

There will also be a statement from Chief Minister Alfred Cannan on government efficiency.

The agenda will start with twenty nine questions including a number which were moved from The House of Keys last week after the members there spent much of the day debating assisted dying.

Four “starred for priority” questions include; the current charges for removing fallen livestock and the whereabouts and content of the first report of the Tynwald Auditor General.

Arbory, Castletown and Malew member Tim Glover follows up on a Manx Radio interview in which the enterprise minister was quizzed over statistics used in his department's plan.

You can find more about that HERE.

Other questions range from the future of the Newson warehouse site on North Quay and when the Liverpool Ferry Terminal will be ready for use.

While David Ashford asks about the additional tram track bought to enable the horse trams to run right round the bay.

You can listen live to today's sitting via Manx Radio AM 1368, DAB, online and on smartphone apps.
