Health regulator plans still to come

"Progress being made", says Ashford

The health department is in talks with a number of potential independent regulators.

Minister David Ashford told the House of Keys this week progress on the matter was being made.

The process to appoint a formal off-Island regulator for health and social care services was launched more than a year ago.

Although a shortlist of providers has been drawn up, the minister insisted his department was 'not yet in a position to consider policy options'.
