Guilty plea from man who headbutted pubgoer

32-year-old admits assault ABH charge

A Ramsey man is awaiting sentencing after headbutting a fellow pubgoer.

Jake Andrew Severs, of Ballajora Hill, assaulted the man – causing him actual bodily harm – at The Mitre Hotel on 20 December last year.

The 32-year-old caused an injury to his nose which required hospital treatment.

At Douglas Courthouse Severs was told he’ll be sentenced in the Summary Court; he’s been bailed until his next appearance there on 4 March.

 

Update: During sentencing at Douglas Courthouse Severs was fined £1,500, ordered to pay £200 in compensation and must pay £125 in prosecution costs.
