Channel Island using 'similar structure' to IoM circuit breaker
Guernsey's Director of Public Health says the island will be following a similar structure to the Isle of Man's circuit breaker, as the Channel Island is placed back into lockdown.
It's after four cases of Covid-19 were discovered there, without direct links to travel or previously known cases.
There was an immediate ban on gatherings, and social distancing measures were re-enforced this morning, prior to a media conference at midday.
Dr Nicola Brink says they've been in contact with health officials here:
In Guernsey’s new lockdown however, restaurants and non-essential shops will remain closed, and won't be able to offer takeaway and delivery services.
An end-date on their lockdown hasn't been proposed either, but the Crown Dependency will review the situation in two week’s time.
