Great North Air Ambulance called out 59 times since 2022 

Charity has covered the Isle of Man since March of that year

The Great North Air Ambulance Service has been called out 59 times since it first started covering the Isle of Man in 2022.

The charity took the Island into its remit in March of that year, starting with a trial by Manx Care.

It responds to incidents, providing critical care interventions and transferring seriously injured or unwell patients by helicopter to the UK for emergency medical treatment.

Community Fundraiser Amanda Simmister has been visiting the Island over the past week to raise awareness:

The GNAAS is currently holding its annual raffle.

  • First prize: £10,000.
  • Second prize: Overnight stay in luxury spa accommodation in North Yorkshire.
  • Third prize: A three-night stay at a cottage in Northumberland.
