Chief minister announces plans for 85,000 plants
Government has pledged to plant one tree for every resident in the Isle of Man.
The announcement has been made by the Chief Minister Howard Quayle.
Eighty-five-thousand trees are set to be planted to 'help offset the Island's CO2 emissions'.
Government says an extra thousand will be planted in urban areas - businesses, residents and local authorities are going to be asked to identify good areas for these.
The strategy lays out plans which puts all 85,000 trees in the same woodland, covering 150 acres.
The area hasn't been decided on yet, but is also set to include public cycling, walking and horse-riding trails'.
