Government will set out its ‘strategic ambitions’ for national air and sea connectivity next week.

Plans to improve transportation links will be discussed at the Isle of Man Government Conference.

Repeated delays and cancellations at the airport, via sea, and with on-Island bus travel have caused frustration amongst the travelling public and backbench politicians.

Onchan MHK Rob Callister claims issues with connectivity are ‘damaging business and what is left of our tourism economy’ adding confidence is ‘at an all-time low’ and ‘urgent improvements are necessary’.  

His political colleague Julie Edge told Manx Radio it's a problem which should be treated as a ‘significant national issue’ and something the chief minister should be addressing:
