Government seeks non-executive directors for Steam Packet

Manannan

Three members required to help run ferry operator

The Government is looking to appoint three non-executive directors to help run the Steam Packet Company.

The role will involve attending board meetings and is expected to require a commitment of around 24 days per year.

Non-executive directors will be paid up to £20,000 annually depending on their responsibilities and commitments.

The ferry operator was purchased by the Government earlier this year, but the Treasury wants to run the company at arm's length.

Applications are being accepted until November 2nd. More details can be found on the Government's website.
