GCSE consultation to be launched

 

A major public consultation will be launched at the start of April to gauge views on the future of GCSE exams on the Island.

The Department of Education and Children has previously said 'No change is not an option' as the English exam system is set to change dramatically under Secretary of State for Education Michael Gove.

They have shortlisted three potential options - stay with England and endure these changes, look to Scotland, or move towards International GCSEs.

The consultation process will include a published questionnaire, discussions with groups of pupils, and regional events for parents during March.
