Next month customers will see their gas tariffs fall
Islands Energy Group (IEG) says it hopes a cut to gas prices will hopefully 'help households who have struggled with the cost-of-living crisis'.
From 1 July, those on gas will have their tariffs slashed by 2.8-percent following a review by the regulator.
The Communications and Utilities Regulatory Authority says higher demand for gas over the past six months means the cost of running the network is 'more than covered' by the current tariff levels.
The fall makes it the second this year, with a further review due to take place in November.
IEG Chief Executive Jo Cox says "For customers that are struggling with debt we urge them to get touch to discuss. We can offer payment plans, where customers can spread the cost of their bills."
