
Announcement made as cases continue to rise
A second person on the Island has died from Coronavirus.
Former Police sergeant Richard Lloyd passed away at Noble's Hospital today.
The Isle of Man Constabulary Historian Facebook page described the news as "the most difficult and painful post" ever written:

Both his parents were police officers in Merseyside.
Richard kept his association with the Police going after his retirement helping the next generation of officers by working closely with the Police Youth Scheme.
He was chairman and coach of the Isle of Man (Southern) Judo Club with regular sessions on Monday and Friday evenings at the Arbory Parish Hall.
Chief Constable Gary Roberts has tweeted his own tribute saying "Today has been the saddest of my 36 year police career. So many of us are heartbroken after the death of a friend, colleague and giant of a man, who was been taken by this wicked virus":
