Case adjourned until March following not guilty plea
A former police officer has pleaded not guilty to a string of financial offences.
Kevin Scott Williams, of Port-E-Chee Avenue, Douglas, appeared before Deemster Alastair Montgomerie at a court of general gaol delivery this week.
Mr Williams denied all nine charges put to him by Deemster Montgomerie.
They are: the theft of a Rolex watch worth £6,750; the theft of a laptop worth £819 which belongs to the Department of Home Affairs; obtaining property by deception (climbing gear); the theft of a £480 credit balance from the DHA; two false accounting charges; and three charges relating to the Isle of Man Police Federation.
These involve the theft of around £98,000 from the federation's fund, and money laundering.
The case has been adjourned until 10am on Friday, 8 March, when a pre-trial review will be held.
