Foodbank expecting rise in demand

Charity supplied up to 200 parcels per week during lockdown

The Isle of Man Foodbank is expecting demand for its services to increase in the coming months.

The charity saw a 33% rise in Manx residents seeking its support at the start of the coronavirus crisis, supplying up to 200 food parcels each week at its peak.

With other voluntary organisations also offering help during the lockdown, the number of people reaching out to the foodbank has since settled.
