Passenger group reacts to sale of Flybe
Good news for the company - and the Isle of Man.
The view of passenger watchdog TravelWatch following news that Flybe has been bought by a consortium for £2.2 million.
The group includes Virgin Atlantic and the Stobart Group, as well as venture capital firmm, Cyrus.
The company put itself up for sale last October following dire profit warnings
The move ends months of speculation over the future of the airline which flies several key routes from the Isle of Man, including Manchester and Liverpool.
Aviation spokesman for TravelWatch, Terry Liddiard, says the involvement of Virgin has to be positive for the Island.
