Flooding and high tides warning

The Department of Infrastructure says some parts of the Island may see waves crashing over roads and promenades today.

The department says heavy rain throughout the day could mean some localised flooding and large amounts of standing water

And at high tide just after 2pm this afternoon, strong Southeast winds could mean waves and debris washing onto exposed roads and promenades.

The department says the areas likely to be most affected are Shore Road in Gansey, Chapel Bay in Port St Mary, Castletown Promenade, the Northern end of Douglas Promenade and Laxey Promenade.
