Final 2018 sitting for House of Keys

Five questions for oral answer

The final House of Keys sitting of the year takes place this morning.

Two members have tabled five questions for oral answer.

Onchan member Julie Edge will ask Enterprise Minister Laurence Skelly about his contingency plans for tourism figures following a decline in numbers, as well as seeking details about the cost of installing fairy houses around the Island.

She's also looking for an update on the report on colonoscopy on the Island from Health and Social Care Minister David Ashford.

Arbory, Castletown and Malew member Jason Moorhouse wants to know what progress has been made on plans to return the swearing in of the Lieutenant Governor to Castle Rushen, while Education Minister Graham Cregeen will be asked for the latest on plans for a new school in Castletown.

In the written questions, Ramsey MHK Lawrie Hooper has tabled a series of queries to the Health Minister, ranging from topics such as complaints to bed usage.

Away from questions, Middle MHK Bill Shimmins will present the Dormant Assets Bill for its first reading.

You can hear House of Keys questions live on Manx Radio's AM1368 frequency, online at manxradio.com and via the smartphone apps from 10am.
