Family pay tribute to driver killed near Lancaster

31-year-old Island man under investigation

The family of a retired primary school teacher who died following an accident near Lancaster last week are appealing for witnesses to come forward.

A 31-year old man from the Isle of Man was arrested on suspicion of causing death and serious injury by dangerous driving.

He's since been released, under investigation, by Lancashire Police

Seventy-four-year old Pauline Edwards was a passenger in a Honda Jazz which was involved in a collision with a BMW.

The drivers of both vehicles suffered varying injuries.

A third car, another BMW, is believed to have been involved but failed to stop. 

Mrs Edwards' family paid tribute to her saying she touched many lives with her caring and generous nature.
