Don’t remove sandbags!

That's the message from the Water Authority.

It's reported some people have been removing sandbags from parts of Castletown and Douglas for their own use – they have actually been taken from places where the Authority has positioned them to protect areas from flooding.

If you need more sandbags, the number to call is 850000 or 672000.

Ramsey Town Hall and library is now closed until at least 2pm.

On the quayside in Douglas, the water level is now above the entrance to the British pub and the opticians.

In Ramsey, Queen’s Promenade is flooded, as is West Quay and Parliament Square.
In Castletown, Hope Street is flooded, while in Douglas the areas affected are North Quay, Market Hill, Strathallan Cresent, Lake Road and Tesco car park.
Motorists who still have vehicles parked in the areas of north quay, south quay and the Tongue in Douglas are asked to remove them as soon as possible.

Lord Street police station in Douglas is closed to members of the public until further notice.

Tesco in Douglas will be closed from 11.30am until around 3pm as a precaution to the high tide.

All Shoprite stores will remain open.

The Manx Electricity Authority is warning it may have to turn off supplies in affected areas without notice.
