DOI tackles storm damage after gales

The Island takes stock after being battered by Storm Arwen.

Department of Infrastructure workers have been battling to clear trees brought down by last night's severe gales. 

Strang Road and the Old Castletown Road were among the routes blocked.

The Mountain Road has reopened after it was closed overnight but Ronaldsway Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning about ice on higher ground. 

Forecaster Stuart Davidson says windspeed overnight hit almost 80mph:
