Dog slips through rescuers' fingers

Large crowd of searchers scare her off

A mass search for a missing dog has inspired the Manx public, but her owners have warned good samaritans might be doing more harm than good.

Jenny the German Shepherd has now been gone for almost a fortnight, but she has been seen several times since.

Almost 40 people were seen around the Baldrine area earlier, after she was spotted running around.

But the timid dog was scared off by the large crowd.

Search party volunteer Helen Callow has this appeal.

If you see Jenny, you're asked not to approach her, but to immediately ring 317647.

It's also been suggested a large net may assist in her capture - anyone who can lend one is also asked to ring that number.
