The Department of Education and Children says it hopes to avoid making any teachers redundant as it scraps stand-alone nurture groups.
In future, the groups – which support children with certain special needs – will be replaced by what the DEC calls a “whole-school” approach led by support staff.
Three secondary schools and six primaries will be affected, along with 11 teaching posts.
Department Chief Executive Stuart Dobson explained what changes will be made:
Average Island GP patient list almost 200 above BMA's recommended total
Community swimming pool definitely included in new CRHS plans
Work permit reforms delayed
