Could Barlow visit boost tourist numbers?

Island looking to take that view

Gary Barlow's recent appearance on the Island may delight more than just the audiences at his sell-out shows.

The Take That star has been singing the praises of the Isle of Man's natural beauty.

He's posted images of himself at the chasms, as he and his crew went walking in the Manx countryside to discover what he terms an "incredible island".

Posting on Instagram, he's shared pictures of his walks commenting,  "Wow this place has blown me away. Seriously stunning countryside. Breathtaking views and amazing walks."

His comments have been reported by the online edition of Hello! magazine, which claims he appears to have inspired some of his fans to visit the Isle of Man too, with many commenting on how "beautiful" and "amazing" the island looked in the good weather.

The article goes on to point out how easily accessible the Island is for a "staycation" . . . and how Castle Rushen is considered one of Europe's best preserved medieval castles.

Tourism bosses will no doubt be hoping his positive comments will encourage some of his many thousands of fans to explore the Island for themselves.
