Community cases would see return to Level 5, says Quayle

Government scraps 7 days test option

The chief minister says there would need to be community spread of Covid-19 for the Island to tighten its borders again.

Howard Quayle ruled out a move back to level five at the latest coronavirus media briefing.

For now, the Island remains at level 4 of the borders framework.

From next week, residents returning to the Island will have to self-isolate for the full 14 days once more, as the optional seven-day test is being removed.

The chief minister says it will 'improve the number of coronavirus cases on the Isle of Man'.
