Large waves and sea water likely to affect coastal roads either side of high tide
Forecasters are warning large waves and sea water will hit coastal roads and promenades around the Island today.
Ronaldsway Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for coastal overtopping, which will be in force between 9.45am and 1.45pm.
Strong south to south-west winds and high spring tides mean the impact is likely to be seen for a couple of hours either side of high tide.
The areas most likely to be affected are Shore Road in Rushen, Castletown Promenade, the northern end of Douglas Promenade and to a lesser extent Laxey and Ramsey.
