Churches want to provide warm spaces but need support

Bishop says churches 'need to be able to heat themselves' to help the wider community

Churches on the Island need to be able to heat themselves in order to provide warm spaces for Manx residents struggling to heat their homes.

That's from Bishop Peter Eagles after the Church of England provided a grant to the Diocese of Sodor and Man to support warm spaces.

A number of local authorities, swimming pools and other community facilities have committed to providing heated spaces to the public in response to the rising cost of living.

The bishop says the Manx church is keen to get involved but support is needed:
