Is All Saints' story coming to an end?
A Douglas church which could be facing demolition next year is a victim of 1960s building techniques, it's been claimed.
When it first opened its doors in 1967, All Saints Church on Alexander Drive was the first Anglican church to be built in the Island for more than half a century.
However, it's had major problems with damp, condensation and a leaking roof.
Archdeacon Andrew Brown says even though it was listed in 2001 as 'an outstanding example of modern ecclesiastical design', with basic repairs to the roof estimated at around £250,000 and only a small regular congregation, it's been decided repairs aren't affordable.
Whilst no final decision has been made, it's thought the last service in the church may be next Easter, the building's 50th anniversary.
