Public Health questionnaire launched for parents and carers
A Public Health questionnaire has been launched to find out more about oral health habits among five-year-olds in the Isle of Man.
Designed to be completed by parents and carers of children in Year 1, the link to the online questionnaire has been sent to all primary schools to distribute.
It focuses on how children look after their teeth at home, including brushing habits, food and drink intake and visits to the dentist.
Professor Hugo Van Woerden, Interim Director of Public Health, says much work has been done aimed at improving oral health in children in line with Tynwald's recommendations.
A survey takes place bi-annually to assess the oral health of the Island's five-year-olds.
This year it's hoped that finding out more about their oral health habits at home can influence additional measures to improve self-care.
All contributions to the survey, which closes at midnight on the 26th of November, are anonymous.
