Wreaths laid in Government Office and at Douglas War Memorial

The chief minister has led two acts of remembrance to mark the 80th anniversary of Victory in Europe Day (VE Day) on the Isle of Man.

Alfred Cannan laid a wreath at the war memorial in Government Office at 11:30am where he was joined by Ministers and Members of Tynwald.

The party then gathered at the Douglas War Memorial just before noon to observe the national two-minute silence.

The chief minister again laid a wreath at the site.
