Salvation Army proposals aimed at reaching more in need
The Salvation Army is hoping to expand and revamp its Isle of Man facilities to help more of those in need.
The charity is asking for planning permission to upgrade its centre on Ballacottier Crescent in Isle of Man Business Park in Braddan.
If approved, a new multipurpose hall would be built at the site as well as new parking provisions.
Other works would include creating new kitchen and toilet facilities as well as a front entrance canopy.
The charity says, if approved, a host of new events and activities could be provided.
This could include Sunday worship, a drop-in community service; evening youth group; funerals, weddings and other services.
The chaplaincy and debt advice services already in place would continue.
The proposals are now pending consideration.
