Schemes in north and west under scrutiny
Plans for regional sewage works in the north and west of the Island are to come under official scrutiny.
A Tynwald committee is to investigate the suitability of Manx Utilities' current plan to complete the IRIS scheme with new, regional works.
Under current plans for a regional strategy, sewage would be transferred from local treatment plants, via mains to the new works in Peel and Ramsey.
The Environment and Infrastructure Policy Review Committee is inviting residents to submit their views, with a deadline of 18 May.
Originally, all the Island's sewage was to be pumped to the Meary Veg plant in Santon, but a regional plan, which could save £15 million in capital costs, was favoured after a review.
