Chance for Manx residents to fight for free TV licences

BBC launches public consultation for IoM and Channel Islands

A chance to discuss the future of TV licence fees on the Isle of Man.

The BBC has launched a public consultation on the licences for the over 75s here, and in the Channel Islands.

They are currently free until the end of this year.

In the UK from 1 August any household with someone aged over 75 who receives Pension Credit will be entitled to a free licence paid for by the BBC.

The consultation here is for people to provide the broadcaster with any information they think should be taken into account.

It will run from now until 10 September, for more information click here.
