Mother's passion to educate public
A mother who lost her daughter to sepsis is urging the Manx public to wise-up to the disease.
Dee Struthers from Onchan says understanding the symptoms of sepsis and seeking rapid medical treatment can mean the difference between life and death.
Her 18-year old daughter Ann died from the condition in 2013, the sepsis diagnosed several days after she became ill with flu-like symptoms.
The disease, a form of blood poisoning, kills more than 37,000 people in the UK each year - equivalent to 200 in the Isle of Man.

This week Ann's mum Dee is handing out information leaflets to the public, from a stand in the Noble's hospital foyer which tells the story of Ann's untimely death.
