Chair of Environment and Infrastructure Policy Review Committee calls for 'urgent overview'
There's not enough investment being made by government to make our roads and homes safe when bad weather hits the Island.
That's from Onchan MHK Rob Callister speaking in his capacity as chair of the Environment and Infrastructure Policy Review Committee.
He's written to a number of departments calling for an 'urgent overview' of what happened in Laxey yesterday, when severe flooding ripped through the village streets and into people's homes.
Mr Callister says more needs to be done, and that means more money spent:
