Bus fares: 'I'd rather have seen a 20% reduction than a £2 cap, says MHK

Cap to come into force from tomorrow

From tomorrow your bus journey, no matter where you go, will be capped at £2.

It's a measure announced by government earlier this year - to help people affected by high fuel and energy bills, as the cost-of-living soars.

It'll be in place for three months.

Meanwhile, a Douglas East MHK says she'd much preferred to have seen government offer a 20 per cent reduction on bus fares across the board, rather than a £2 cap.
