Pubs and bars to shut doors from midnight
The Island's borders will close to all non-Manx residents on Monday at 9am.
The measure was announced by Chief Minister Howard Quayle at his daily coronavirus media briefing this afternoon.
Manx residents returning from trips off-Island will still have to self-isolate for 14 days, even if they don't have symptoms of Covid-19.
He also confirmed all pubs and bars must shut from midnight tonight, while all gyms and swimming pools are asked to close their doors today (22 March).
The NSC, Curraghs Wildlife Park, Villa Marina and Gaiety theatres, cinemas and heritage sites have already shut their doors to protect residents.
Freight deliveries will be continuing, and government says the Island has 'sufficient fuel and food to meet public needs'.
The chief minister also urged all those over 70 years old, people with an underlying health issue and pregnant women to stay at home wherever possible.
Treasury Minister Alfred Cannan will be speaking tomorrow at 10am, and introducing a package of measures designed to support the Manx economy through the pandemic.
