Professor Grove to talk at Arbory church
There are still a few seats left for Thursday's Spring Quilliam Lecture at Arbory Church, where Captain John Quilliam is buried.
Captain Quilliam served on HMS Victory at the Battle of Trafalgar under Lord Nelson.
The title of the talk this year is "Quilliam and the Q class destroyers" and will be delivered by Professor Eric Grove.
One of the organisers, Dr Phil Smith, says Professor Grove is the most distinguished naval historian around.
The spring Quilliam Lecture takes place on Thursday, 25 April at Arbory Church - doors open at 7.15pm for a 7.45pm start.
