Final day of baton relay's tour of Island

The Queen's Commonwealth Games baton completes its three day tour of the Isle of Man today (3 Sept).

The baton relay is on the 43rd stage of a mammoth tour of Commonwealth nations, on its way to Australia's Gold Coast, host of the 2018 games.

More pairs of Manx hands will carry the baton today as it visits communities across the Island.

From Mooragh Park in Ramsey where a triathlon's being staged, the baton then moves south to Douglas, calling in at the Grandstand and Isle of Man Hospice.

It then pays a visit to Moore's kipper factory in Peel before rounding the day off at a Sports fun day at Centre 21 in Douglas.

Isle of Man Commonwealth Games Association President Basil Bielich says before the tour begins, aspiring competitors will gather with the baton relay team at the NSC:
