Manx residents to receive survey this week

Are you happy with your GP?

'A selection' of residents will receive a GP patient survey in the post this week, as the health department looks to improve health services on the Island.

Around 8,500 patients will receive a survey, chosen at random from those registered on the NHS list - a sample which the department says will give a broad spectrum of feedback.

When this process was done last, in 2015, 92% said they were happy with their GP practice.

Questions relate to personal experience in accessing services, making an appointment, general health, out of ours services and NHS dentistry.

Minister David Ashford says this is "a real opportunity for patients to influence the way GP services are provided in future."

The results will be published in full at the end of November this year.
