Another £18 million to cut hospital waiting lists

But DHSC will have to provide progress reports to Tynwald

Tynwald will be given quarterly progress reports on efforts to reduce surgical waiting lists at Noble’s Hospital.

This week members unanimously backed plans to spend a further £18.3 million to tackle the issue.

It will go towards securing operations in the fields of orthopaedics, ophthalmology and general surgery.

Former minister David Ashford says it’s important the Department of Health and Social Care reports back regularly.
