It's hoped Hate Crime Bill will be brought in during this administration
Giving courts aggravated sentencing powers would help reduce incidents of hate crimes, according to the home affairs minister.
The Hate Crime Bill is one of the new laws the current administration wants to bring in before the 2026 General Election.
It's also hoped to ensure victims can report incidents with confidence.
Jane Poole-Wilson says the legislation needs to be carefully crafted:
Smile of Mann programme to start in primary schools next year
Loganair passengers yet to be reunited with bags left in Manchester on Sunday
Kirk Michael man taking on 31 marathons in 31 days in memory of friend
Government grant partially funded fishing vessel later used for smuggling
