Harding investigation costs disclosed in Tynwald
The investigation into allegations of perjury by the Island's former Attorney General has cost the tax payer more than £2.5 million.
Treasury Minister Alf Cannan revealed the figure for Operation Leopard in response to a Tynwald question for written answer.
Stephen Harding was also accused of committing acts against public justice relating to the winding-up of Island firm Street Heritage in 2010.
He faced two criminal trials in the Manx court in 2013 and 2014, and was formally cleared in 2014.
Total costs for the inquiry - which took more than three years - are understood to be £2,563,051.
The investigation followed a reprimand issued by the Advocates Disciplinary Tribunal regarding Mr Harding's conduct as Government Advocate in 2010.
Mr Harding retired on grounds of ill health in September 2015.
