Adrian Earnshaw to seek third term

A government minister will seek a third term in the House of Keys in September.

Adrian Earnshaw, who heads up Home Affairs, is bidding for re-election in Onchan, who he has represented since 2001.

Mr Earnshaw, who had previously spent five years on the board of Onchan Commissioners, has served in five government departments and was Tourism Minister before his appointment in Home Affairs.

And he’s praised its strong performance with significant reductions in crime, a successful neighbourhood policing programme and a top quality fire service and prison at Jurby.

Mr Earnshaw goes onto say it’s crucial to focus on the economy over the next five years to support health, education and welfare services.

And the former bank manager believes his financial background and political experience will help develop the economy and enhance the Island’s quality of life.
