Many abortion reform proposals still need scrutinising, a former Health Minister believes.
Detailed scrutiny of a bill, which aims to relax the Isle of Man’s existing laws, is well underway in the House of Keys.
Members have already agreed to allow women a termination up to 14 weeks into their pregnancy and up to 24 weeks if there are serious health concerns or social grounds as to why a baby shouldn't be born.
However, South Douglas MHK Kate Beecroft hopes colleagues will still consider many reforms carefully over the next few months before changing the law.
