Three days of action at Billown marks start of Manx road racing season

The 2025 Pre-TT Classic Road Races will roar into life in the south of the Island later today (23 May).

Three days of action across today, tomorrow and Sunday (23-25 May) on the Billown Course will mark the start of this year's Manx road racing season.

Once again there's been a healthy number of entries across the solo and sidecar classes for the 2025 event, according to its organisers.

Phil Edge of the Southern 100 Club says along with highly-competitive racing, riders and fans can enjoy the nostalgia of the sights, smells and sounds of yesteryear:

Tonight's opening session will be dedicated to practice and qualifying with roads around the course closing at 6pm and reopening no later than 9.40pm.

Starting proceedings will be a newcomers familiarisation lap at approximately 6.15pm before qualifying slots begin for all solo and sidecar entries.

Tomorrow (24 May) will feature a double-header of qualifying and racing.

Firstly on Saturday afternoon remaining qualifying is due to be held with roads around the course shutting from 12.30pm until 4.30pm.

The course will then briefly re-open before shutting again between 6pm and no later than 9pm for the first four races of the meeting.

Lastly, on Sunday (25 May) highways on the course will close between 1pm and no later than 6pm for the remaining six races.

All road closure and qualifying/race times remain subject to change depending on prevailing conditions and circumstances.
