Local training firm TLC Business Solutions has become the first in the Isle of Man to offer a widely recognised accountancy qualification.
TLC has been accredited by the Association for Accounting Technicians to run its programmes here.
The firm's managing director Sue Gee says for the first time in a decade students can study for, and sit, their AAT exams in the Isle of Man. Previously they had to travel to the United Kingdom.
The courses are aimed at those already working in the accountancy industry and those starting their careers.
Courses are due to begin this month and the examination centre will open from October.
