Heritage homesteads display fascinates firm

An Island wealth management firm has invested in a new exhibition portraying a unique aspect of the Island's heritage.

WHIreland International Wealth is sponsor of Manx Tholtans, a display of photographic images and 3D artworks of abandoned farm buildings, which opened at the Manx Museum last weekend (7 Oct).

Tholtan is a Manx word for the ruins of a building, and have become a passion for photographer Ray Kelly, who's spent 30 years seeking out derelict farmhouses around the Island.

WHIreland Group's Symon Walmlsey said the firm was delighted to work with Manx National Heritage on what he called a 'thought-provoking glimpse into the Island's rural history'.

He added the sponsorship was part of the company's commitment to play a part in the local community.
